Thajudeen died on May 17, 2012 in Kirulapone and his body was found in his car which had crashed into a wall. (Colombo Gazette) The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) conducted a search at the SAITM private university for some body parts of rugger player Wasim Thajudeen.The CID obtained court approval to conduct the search after it was revealed that some body parts had been taken to SAITM after the post mortem was conducted on Thajudeen’s remains. Earlier the Attorney General (AG) had filed a case against the former Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) of Colombo over the Wasim Thajudeen murder case.The case was filed over body parts which went missing after the initial post-mortem was conducted by Samarasekera on Thajudeen’s remains soon after his death. It was revealed last month that some body parts of murdered rugger player Wasim Thajudeen had been sent to the SAITM medical college in Malabe by the former Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) Ananda Samarasekara. This was revealed in court last month by the Criminal Investigations Department when the case into the murder was heard.
