Man Utd boss Solskjaer determined to stick with youthby Paul Vegas20 days agoSend to a friendShare the loveManchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will continue to put his faith in youth – despite their struggles.United’s 0-0 draw against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League stretched their winless run away from home to 10 games in all competitions under Solskjaer, going back to March.“We’re not in the 90s now,” said Solskjaer. “It’s a different era, a different group that we’re building.“We know there are going to be ups and downs. I’m ready to see these boys blossom. There’s not many clubs with our stature that play the young players that we do.“They’ve got a chance to come through and we’re sure some of these will be part of a successful team. I don’t know what the opponents think of us. I just know sometimes when you walk off games, we’re not doing bad here.“Sometimes there’s a gap. I’ve felt that a couple of times, but not very often. I can’t think about what anyone else is thinking about us.“We will need to improve and that is what we have to do.” About the authorPaul VegasShare the loveHave your say
All week long, the expert opinion contended that in order for Florida to hang with Alabama, the Gators would need to catch some breaks and create points with their defense or special teams. The Gators did just that moments ago when freshman wide receiver Antonio Callaway corralled an Alabama punt and sprinted 85 yards to give the Gators a 7-2 lead.HERE COMES FLORIDA. Twitter/@AAppleby12Austin Appleby has a good sense of humor about Tennessee fans trolling him earlier today.Ahead of his start’s in Saturday’s game, Tennessee fans set up a GoFundMe page to pay for Florida back-up quarterback Austin Appleby’s funeral expenses. Appleby is filling in for starter Luke Del Rio, who sprained his MCL this past weekend, and will face a super-talented Vols defense looking to snap an 11-game Gator win streak in the series. The GoFundMe campaign has since been deleted, but Appleby was excited to collect on it. He jokingly said that he’d take the money they raised for him, as long as it is cool with the NCAA. From SEC Country:“They’re having a little bit of fun,” Appleby said. “I’d love to get my hands on the GoFundMe if it’s NCAA approved. If they can get me some cash, that’d be awesome. I can use it. I’m getting hungry, plus I can pay for freaking gas for my scooter. But no, it’s fun. It’s all good.”Appleby heard about the campaign, but he’s not hearing too much from Vols fans on his social media accounts, as he’s turned off his notifications about the big SEC East battle.“It’s part of the SEC rivalry,” Appleby said. “It’s also a game week. The notifications are off, so not a whole lot of it is reaching me. It’s a lot of my friends’ comments and, ‘Hey, look what they did.’ It’s all cool. I’m excited about the opportunity to go play them though.”Appleby only has five pass attempts as a Florida Gator under his belt, but he’s a veteran to the college game. A two year starter at Purdue, Appleby has thrown for 2,807 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions in his college career. Florida opens as an eight point underdog at Tennessee, per Odds Shark.[SEC Country]
Neymar has called Lionel Messi the best player in the world and said the pair made a magnificent duo at Barcelona amid rumours the Paris Saint-Germain star could return to Camp Nou. The 27-year-old is reported to be keen on a move back to La Liga but the Parisians will demand at least €222 million (£200m/$249m) for his signature, and they are not interested in a swap deal involving Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele.
